Foster Program
What do you do?
Through the KC PAWS foster program, you provide temporary foster for a dog in our rescue that will allow them to wait for their forever family in a home environment rather than in a facility. Fostering allows dogs to learn in a calmer setting on things like housetraining, basic manners, and obedience. This increases a dogs adoptability and provides our staff with more accurate information on the dogs personality to help us better match them with adopters. For some dogs, especially ones who are shy, or are undergoing medical treatment, a foster home makes a world of difference.
What do we do?
Because we have Daycare and Boarding at our facility, Fosters are welcome to bring their dog in for free pet services anytime. Which means that if you want to foster, but are worried about leaving your foster while you work or run errands, you can bring them to doggy daycare and take them home later in the day for free. We also pay for all pet supplies and veterinary care for our fosters.
