Doggy Daycare with a Purpose

PAWS has been a staple to the KC pet community since 2007. We rescue dogs from throughout the entire midwest in some of the worst neglect cases imaginable, all while offering low costs pet services to the Kansas City community in order to keep the rescue funded. We are still the only local rescue in which you can adopt a dog, and continue to come back for full service boarding, daycare, and grooming. We are the only rescue that is also a non-profit doggy daycare and boarding facility in Missouri. At our start in 2007, we adopted 31 dogs into loving homes, today our average yearly adoptions have tripled, and we average 150-180 dogs a year.

Our mission is to save the lives of homeless pets by changing the way our community views shelter pets through education, advocacy, and through play. We provide a new type of sheltering experience which allows the dogs in our program to interact and play with other dogs in our community on a daily basis. Through education and a change to the way animal shelters and homeless pets are viewed in the eye of the public, our mission is to eradicate the perception that shelter dogs are somehow different from other dogs living in our community and to encourage the public to visit their local shelters and adopt rather than shop for their next family member.

Adopting is one of the best things you can do.

When you adopt, you’re not just giving a deserving dog a home. You’re also reducing the demand for puppy mills and other industrial-scale breeding operations that put profit before animal welfare.

All KC PAWS adopted dogs come fully up to date on vetting, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and are current on heartworm prevention.
